Room in 4BR Williamsburg apt by Lorimer L train stop

We have one room opening up in our delightful 4BR apartment on the corner of Grand and Leonard, across from Hachi and the Willburg Cafe, and down the street from Huckleberry Bar. We're right above Blue Angel Wines. The apartment is a 5-minute walk to the Lorimer L train stop and the Metropolitan G stop, and is also decently close to the JMZ Hewes stop. We love the neighborhood -- lots of great restaurants and hang out spots right outside the door. We're looking for someone who is fun, laid back, and interesting.

The Roommates:
Two of the roommates, my good friend and I, work full-time for an experimental theater company called The Wooster Group. In our free time, he reads the internet and does cross-fit, and I play basketball and tennis. The third roommate is a poetry grad student at Columbia. All three of us enjoy playing, writing, and listening to music. We also cook, play Scrabble, and go to parties. Because we’re all pretty busy, we don't necessarily spend a ton of time in the apartment, and we don’t have lots of people over much, except for our occasional poker nights and book club meetings. Our new roommate, we hope, will jump right into the mix and become a part of the crew!

The Room:
The room has hardwood floors and recently painted light blue walls with white trim. It would come to you unfurnished. The closet is very big and there is a nook above the closet that’s great for storage. As you can see in the pictures, the room is big enough for a full-size bed, a nightstand, a large dresser, a substantial desk, but not much else. The only window is an interior window, which makes for a quiet reprieve from the sounds of the city, and with a fan ventilation has never been a problem. It’s very cozy in the winter.

The Details:
The room is $750/month and we’re looking for someone to move in November 1st. Utilities, which include electricity, gas, wireless internet, and DirecTV, are pretty minimal, since they're split four ways -- usually less than $50 a month. Please send us an email telling a little about yourself and we can set up an appointment for you to come have a look at the place.

We look forward to meeting you!
